Blessed are the Meek’s show “Wanderlust” definitely lived up to its name. Beginning with a short video projected onto to the back wall featuring time-lapse video footage of the Northern Territory, the brand had the audience on the edge of their seats.
THEY SAY | “The initial inspiration for this collection was the idea of open spaces and places that transcend time. Maria had seen an exhibition of the artist Murray Fredericks; Murray is known for capturing natural landscapes in an awe-inspiring way and Maria was immediately drawn to his work entitled Hector which was shot in the Northern Territory. After researching the area, Maria became intrigued by the hauntingly beautiful quality of the Northern Territory’s scenery and natural surrounds.”
I SAY | From the starting projections to the last look on the catwalk “Wanderlust” had me dreaming of far of places. The mix of metallics and nature inspired print had me unsure if my first adventure was to be to outer space or some lush rainforest in a city no one has ever heard of… Either way I was excited.
