MBFWA: Day 4: Suboo

Suboo’s “Hyperprism” collection marked an exciting shift in direction for the beachwear label. While Suboo always offered a few ready-to-wear pieces in previous collections this show was void of umbrellas and floaty kaftans, instead Suboo showed that they are constantly growing and maturing as a brand.  With this collection they have firmly declared themselves as an Australian label “to watch.”

THEY SAY | “Intrinsic to its name, Suboo’s current ready-to-wear collection delivers origami-‐inspired structured pieces adorned with  amazing pattern derived from optical play on light accentuated via textures and colours.”

I SAY | A sleek, chic and enviable ready-to-wear  collection from the brand who were made famous by their gorgeous beach umbrellas. The predominantly monochrome palette gave it a grown up feel while the fun shapes and pops of skin gave it a playful edge. Excited to see what they come up with next!

WHAT I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT | Any of the boxy cropped tanks, purple stripe tee, asymmetrical hemmed shorts, monochrome mini.
